Chances are, you haven't ever heard of 'hobby Nerf', but the truth is, its big and it's international. The world is full of people who meet up and compete... people who take Nerf a little too seriously. People generally meet up over the internet and plan events in public places. For the longest time, Oregon has been seen as a dead zone for these kinds of activities. This website seeks to change that.

The common response to 'mature' people playing Nerf is "why don't you play airsoft?" Nerf offers many advantages over Airsoft or Paintball:
- Less Expensive
- Safer
- Re-usable Ammo
- No special location required
- Eye protection only, no heavy padding
- Customize-able
- Easily accepted by parents
- Fosters communication and strategic planning over individual skill

It's a difficult task to explain the hobby of Nerf to a interested member. I've made a list of links to several of my favorite sites in the NIC (or Nerf Internet Community). If you are new to the hobby, I suggest poking around to find more information.
- Urban Taggers Blog (particularly the FAQ)
- Humans vs Zombies (HVZ, another segment of the international Nerf community)
- SGNerf (a Singapore collection of blogs about everything Nerf)
- NerfHaven Forum (a little rough and tumble, but the most refined of the NIC forums)
- NerfHQ Forum (another popular online site, I'm not currently a member)
- NerfRevolution Forum (generally considered a great place for newbies to begin)
- OzNerf (the Australian equivalent of NerfHaven)
- LordDracconical on Youtube
- Coop772 on Youtube
